ID | Laser Type | Material | Laser Brand | Model | Laser Watts | Power | Speed | LPI | Air Assist | Engrave/Line/Cut/Bitmap | Special Techniques | Notes, Tips, Tricks |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
5 | CO2 | 1/4" Walnut | Glowforge | Pro | 45 | 100 | 120 | Yes | Cut | |||
11 | CO2 | 1/8" EcoBirch | Glowforge | Pro | 45 | 55 | 120 | Yes | Cut | If using 3M or DualTite adhesive on back of EcoBirch, change power to 70 (mask front!) | Always mask back or elevate off bed. I have experimented with EcoBirch and depending on the closeness of lines it can "melt" even changing settings. If I am going to do small cuts & engravings close together = I will MASK both sides. | |
12 | CO2 | 1/8" EcoBirch with 3M or DualTite adhesive | Glowforge | Pro | 45 | 70 | 120 | Yes | Cut | Increased power to 70 to account for the adhesive added to the back of EcoBirch. | ||
13 | CO2 | 1/8" PatternPly Acrylic | Glowforge | Pro | 45 | 101 | 168 | Yes | Cut | 101 indicates "FULL" power on the Pro. | ||
14 | CO2 | 1/8" MDF | Glowforge | Pro | 45 | 101 | 152 | Yes | Cut | 101 indicates FULL on Glowforge Pro | ||
15 | CO2 | 1/8" Mirror PatternPly | Glowforge | Pro | 45 | 101 | 168 | Yes | Cut | Mask mirror, place mirror face down, cut from back. |
